부모의 사회적 책임 의식, 책임 행동과 유아의 지속가능발전 인식 간의 관련성 분석

This study examined the general trends and relationships between parents’ perceptions and behaviors toward social responsibility and their young children’s perceptions of sustainable development. To analyze the influence of parents’ social responsibility perceptions on their young children’s perceptions of sustainable development through socially responsible behavior, data were collected from 496 toddlers and their parents enrolled in early childhood education centers in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon provinces. Statistical analyses, including t-tests, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted. In addition, the significance of the mediation model was tested using Hayes’ (2019) PROCESS macro in SPSS Version 3.3. The results showed that parents' perceptions of social responsibility were higher than their actual socially responsible behavior, and that 5-year-old children had clearer views on sustainable development than 4-year-olds. The study also revealed that parents’ perceptions of social responsibility influenced their children’s perceptions of sustainable development and socially responsible behavior. The researchers concluded that, to support the formation of sustainable development perceptions in early childhood, when life attitudes and values are formed, parents should exhibit responsible behavior as members of society.
