덤벨 디자인의 시대별 변화와 특징 연구 헬스기구 디자인 요소와 PPP평가를 중심으로

The number of people who enjoy life and manage their mind and body health with one exercise tool that individuals can use on a small scale is increasing. And one of the exercise tools that meets the changes of the times and user needs is the dumbbell. The purpose of this study is to study the dumbbells based on the context of each era. Therefore, this study appeared in the early 17th century through related literature and websites to confirm how much health device design elements are added according to the changes of the dumbbell design era, and cataloged the dumbbell design into the development stage until the 21st century. Dumbell design cases were selected, and analysis results were visualized using the health device design element evaluation table and product performance program. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the dumbbell design in the 17th to 19th centuries emphasized visibility, attention, and safety, and it was confirmed that aesthetics, convenience, safety, and space appeared in various ways according to the survey of dumbbell design in the 20th and 21st centuries. This study can be used as basic research data useful to stakeholders in the health device design field.
