텍스트 빅데이터를 활용한 중소기업 종사자들의 조직 경험 및 인식 탐색: 잡플래닛을 중심으로

본 연구는 중소기업 종사자들이 인식하는 조직의 장점 및 단점에 대한 경험과 인식을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 잡플래닛의 기업 리뷰 271,166개를 수집하여 구조적 토픽모델링(Structural Topic Model; STM)을 활용하여 토픽을 추출하고, 전체 문서에서 언급되는 토픽의 비율, 기업 전체 평점에 따른 토픽의 차이, 토픽 간 상관관계를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 장점 말뭉치에서는 자유로운 연차 사용, 좋은 동료, 만족스러운 급여, 자부심 등 중소기업 특성과 일치하는 토픽이 추출되었다. 이는 낮은 평판, 저임금 등 부정적 사회 인식과 차이가 있었다. 또한, 단점 말뭉치에서는 사내 정치, 경계 없는 업무, 비효율적 업무체계, 복지제도 부재, 성장동력 고갈 순으로 언급된 토픽들을 통해 중소기업 종사자들이 주로 인식하는 토픽들을 확인하였다. 뿐만 아니라, 문서를 정성적으로 분석하여 중소기업 종사자들이 복리후생에 관한 만족을 중소기업과의 비교 맥락에서 언급함을 발견하였다. 본 연구는 대량의 텍스트 자료를 사용하였다는 점과 중소기업의 장점과 단점 모두 다루고자 했다는 점에 의의가 있으며. 연구 결과를 통해 중소기업 직무환경에 대한 보다 체계적인 이해를 위한 토대를 마련하고, 더불어 중소기업 기피현상의 해결책을 새로운 관점에서 제시하였다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.
Abstract
The aim of this study was to explore the experiences and perceptions of organizational strengths and weaknesses among employees in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). To achieve this, 271,166 online company reviews from Jobplanet platform were collected, and topics were extracted using Structural Topic Model (STM). The analysis involved examining the proportion of topics mentioned in the overall documents, differences in topics based on the overall company ratings, and correlations between topics. The results revealed that in the corpus related to strengths, topics such as flexible use of annual leave, good colleagues, satisfactory salary, and pride were identified, aligning with the typical characteristics of SMEs. This differed from negative social perceptions such as low reputation and low wages. In the corpus related to weaknesses, topics mentioned by SME employees included internal politics, boundary-less tasks, inefficient work systems, lack of welfare programs, and a shortage of growth drivers. Additionally, a qualitative analysis of the documents revealed that SME employees express satisfaction with welfare benefits in the context of comparisons with larger companies. The significance of this research lies in its use of a large text dataset, its coverage of both strengths and weaknesses of SMEs, and its contribution to providing a foundation for a more systematic understanding of the work environment in SMEs. Furthermore, the study offers new perspectives on addressing the aversion to employment in SMEs based on the research findings.
