The text discusses the evolution of Liberal ESG(Enviroment, Social, Governabce) from a concept aimed at assessing the management performance of companies and universities to a vital component for individuals in ensuring community well-being and global market sustainability. It emphasizes the necessity of incorporating ESG into liberal arts education to cultivate ESG citizenship. To support this idea, an ESG team project was conducted within existing "Human and Community" liberal arts subjects to assess its effectiveness. The project involved both formal and informal sessions, with teams of 6-7 members exploring ESG issues, creating videos, and undergoing evaluations during the 8th week. The results of analyzing ESG team project satisfaction are as follows. First, in terms of preference for ESG team project activities, the positive response (good) was 88.9%. Second, regarding the need for ESG team projects in liberal arts classes, 75.8% responded that it was necessary. Notably, differences in ESG consciousness were observed, with environmental teams scoring higher in the environmental domain and social teams scoring higher in the social and governance domains. The study concludes that ESG team projects have a meaningful impact as community education, relating to college students' daily experiences. It advocates for the progression of liberal arts education at universities, shifting from ESG knowledge and attitudes to practical implementation. Expanding ESG liberal arts courses is deemed necessary to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Furthermore, it highlights the significance of integrating ESG education into universities to foster mutual growth between regions and educational institutions, addressing local companies' and citizens' concerns through liberal arts education.
