대학교에서 활용할 수 있는 특허정보 Database에 관한 비교 연구

초록
특허정보란 각 국의 공개특허공보 및 등록특허공보에 수록된 정보를 말한다. 전 세계에서 연간 출원되는 특허건수가 3백만 건을 넘고 특허출원서 및 명세서에 기재된 내용 대부분이 특허공보에 수록되기 때문에 특허정보는 그 자료가 매우 방대하다. 특허정보검색DB란 방대한 특허정보를 수록하고 키워드, 번호 등을 통하여 원하는 특허정보를 쉽게 검색할 수 있도록 정리해 놓은 데이터 베이스를 말하며, 특허정보검색이란 특허정보검색DB를 활용하여 특허정보를 검색하는 것을 말한다. 대학교에서 특허정보검색을 위하여 활용할 수 있는 검색DB는 무료DB인 키프리스와 유료DB인 윕스온 및 위즈도메인을 들 수 있다. 이들 검색DB는 모두 한국의 특허공보와 세계 주요국의 특허공보를 수록하고 있으나, 검색연산자, 검색항목, 데이터수록범위, 부가서비스 및 일부 검색기능에서 차이가 있다. 이 논문에서는 위 3개 검색DB의 검색기능, 제공되는 국내외 데이터의 범위, 동일한 검색식으로 검색했을 때의 검색결과에 대한 비교분석 등을 통해 대학교에서 특허정보검색 및 특허정보분석용으로 활용함에 있어서의 장단점을 비교해 보는 것을 목적으로 한다.
Abstract
Patent information means information disclosed in the published application and patent documents of the world. The amount of patent informaion is awfully large because over 3 million patent applications are filed per year in the world and patent documents disclose most of information witten in the patent application and the specification. Patent Informaion search DBs contain quite an amount of patent information and provide tools to search the information easity by keywords or numbers. Patent information search means to search published patent documents by the patent information search DBs. Patent information search DBs available at the universitiy are basically KIPRIS, WIPSON and WISDOMAIN. Even though these search DBs include patent publications of Korea and major foreign countries, they are different in respect of search operators, searchable items, extent of data, search tools and auxiliary services. This thesis comparatively analyzes search tools, extent of data, search results concerning same technological subjects and compares the merits and demerits of KIPRIS, WIPSON and WISDOMAIN DBs for searching and analyzing patent information at the university.
