글로벌 수산물 공급망 변화에 관한 연구

Global seafood supply chains are experiencing rapid volatility due to increased global demand and external factors like war, trade disputes, and climate changes. This study uses social network analysis to understand and analyze these changes, focusing on main seafood trade items: fresh/chilled fish, frozen fish, and fish fillets and meats, over three distinct periods (2001, 2011, 2021). The findings indicate that major European and Asian countries are leading the seafood network. The fresh or chilled fish supply network was led by European countries and it was analyzed that the bonding between countries in the same region was strengthened around them. The frozen fish expanded networking between trading countries, and the supply network was being reorganized from European countries to Asian countries due to the rapid growth of China, Vietnam, Korea, and Thailand. The fish fillets and meats supply network had major roles in European and Asian countries, and it was found that the global supply network changed to a structure where Asian countries such as China and Vietnam produce and manufacture, and major countries in the United States and Europe import and mediate consumption. This research provides foundational data for identifying risks and establishing a robust supply network management strategy for Korea.
