사회복지분야에 ESG 도입을 위한 기초 연구 : 사회복지 종사자 인식을 중심으로

The area of application of ESG is expanding beyond the corporate sector to include governments and public institutions. Accordingly, in order to propose ways to apply ESG to social welfare facilities and institutions operated through government subsidies, we surveyed social workers on their perceptions of ESG, its impact on social welfare ethical management, and obstacles to application. The results showed that the greater the need for social worker to apply ESG management, the greater the impact on the mission and vision of ethical management, and the more positively it affects the welfare of users. Based on these findings, the direction for application ESG into the social welfare field is: First, to increase interest in ESG, opportunities to raise awareness among workers, such as education and ESG idea contests, should be provided. Second, establish guidelines for ESG practice to increase the level of ESG awareness among social workers. Third, it was suggested that networking opportunities with those with prior experience in ESG should be provided to share practical experience and information. This study is significant in that it is the first study to investigate the degree of perception of ESG in the social welfare field and analyze the impact of existing ethical management on the social welfare value. However, there is a limit to applying it to all social welfare facilities because the number of samples is small and it targets social welfare workers in Gyeonggi-do. After accumulating cases of specific ESG activities, follow-up research is needed to empirically analyze the impact of ESG on the performance of organizational operations.
