A Study on the Effects of Corporate ESG Activities on Organizational Employees' Job Satisfaction: Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Organizational Trust

This study aimed to verify the relationship between ESG management activities, which have become major issues in corporate management, and their influence on organizational trust and job satisfaction. In addition, the mediating effect of organizational trust in the relationship between ESG activities and job satisfaction was verified. For the empirical analysis, 359 samples were obtained from the organization members of companies H and S, which are defense manufacturing companies. As a result of the analysis, first, as a result of verifying the relationship between the impact of ESG activities on job satisfaction, transparency(β=.145, t=4.989, p=.05), compliance and ethical management(β=.434, t=5.929, p =.000) showed positive (+) significance, and environmental values(β=-.178, t=-2.333, p=.05) showed negative (-) significance. Second, among the sub-factors of ESG management, the factors that have a significant positive (+) effect on organizational trust are energy efficiency(β=.268, t=4.009, p=.000), compliance and ethical management(β=.455). t=6.922, p=.000). Third, organizational trust was shown to have a positive (+) effect on job satisfaction(β=.565, t=11.716, p=.000). Finally, the mediating effect of organizational trust in the relationship between ESG activities and job satisfaction was confirmed.
