바이오미미크리(Biomimicry) 디자인 표현특성을 적용한 아트 메이크업

The link between humans and nature is inextricable. However, with worsening environmental problems, research on the coexistence of humans and nature is being actively conducted in contemporary modern industrial society. Nature is an aggregate of forms with infinite ideas, and Biomimicry, a technology that imitates nature, can be applied as a motif for design ideas in various fields. Biomimicry is considered valuable in the field of makeup art. Therefore, application of Biomimicry to makeup art was attempted in this study. The following research method was used. First, a general review of Biomimicry and makeup art was conducted, and the design characteristics of three levels of Biomimicry, first introduced by Janine M. Benyus, were examined. Second, three types of makeup art were produced by applying the form, action, and structure stages, which are the processes of design of expression characteristics based on natural life forms, to the realistic forms of natural objects. The results of this study demonstrated the potential for expression of creative and artistic patterns through design of Biomimicry that can mimic the mechanism of inspiration and life provided by nature in the field of makeup art. By presenting the potential for expression of new designs, original vitality and artistic value can be expressed through use of makeup art. This study was conducted as a multilateral study of makeup art applied using Biomimicry design.
