지속가능발전과 SDGs・ESG 실천에서 문화의 의미와 역할 이 창 언 연구 목적: 본 연구 목적은 지속가능한 사회를 지향하는 지속가능발전과 문화의 관계를 살펴보고. 둘째, 지속가능발전(SD)과 지속가능발전목표(SDGs: sustainable development goals) 실행에서 문화의 중요성을 고찰한다. 연구 방법: 지속가능발전문화와 관련한 국내외 선행 연구를 분석하여 논의를 수행하였다. 연구 내용: 문화와 지속가능발전의 관계, 문화의 관점에서 지속가능발전(지속가능발전목표)을 포착하는 것은 어떻게 가능한지, 사회의 문화와 문화적 다양성은 ‘지속가능발전’, ‘지속가능발전목표’와 어떻게 연결되어야 하는지에 대해 고찰하였다. 결론 및 제언: 문화예술과 지속가능발전을 전체적으로 구성하는 시스템의 구조에 주목하여 SDGs의 이행과 실천과정에서 문화의 위상의 중요성을 제언했다. 사회, 경제, 환경 기둥의 통합적 발전이라는 기반을 조성하기 위한 필수불가결한 전제로 지속가능발전문화전략, 메세나(Mecenat)와 ESG 등 지속가능발전을 위한 문화적 실천과 이를 장려하는 문화 관리 메커니즘의 구현을 지원하고 촉진하기 위한 정부-지방정부, 기업의 역할을 강조하였다. 핵심어: 문화, 지속가능발전(SD), 지속가능발전문화, 지속가능발전목표(SDGs), ESG 경영
Abstract
Meaning and Role of Culture in Sustainable Developmentand the Practice of SDGs·ESG Changeon Lee* Abstract: This article provides a forum for various stakeholders, including citizens, to identify as subjects aiming for a sustainable society and to think together about how culture can contribute to a “sustainable society”. This means that young people, citizens, and various stakeholders of society are not passive customers of social activities, but are actively involved in the politics, economy, and society of the earth-state-city and play a role as producers and policy actors of a sustainable development culture aimed at a sustainable city. This article discusses the role of culture in improving citizens’ well-being and realizing a “sustainable society” through democratic development while identifying citizens as a sustainable city-oriented policy or a subject of cooperation and governance.
