지속 가능한 디자인을 구현하기 위한 정서적 접근 방법 체계화 및 디자인 가이드라인 도출
Systematization of Emotional Approaches to Implementing Sustainable Design and Deriving Design Guidelines

본 연구는 정서적 측면에서 접근하여 제품을 아끼면서 오래 사용하도록 함 으로써 지속 가능성을 구현하려는 디자인 접근 방법들에 대한 이해를 위해, 대표적인 접근 방법들을 비교하여 각각의 특징과 공통점 및 차이점을 고찰 하고 그로부터 디자인 가이드라인을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 문헌 연 구를 통해 정서적 측면에서 지속 가능성을 구현하는 것과 관련이 있는 다 양한 디자인 접근 방법들을 검토하였으며 상대적으로 관련성이 높다고 판 단된 순환 디자인, 느린 디자인, 제품 애착, 정서적 내구성의 4가지 접근 방법들을 선정하여 비교 분석하였다. 비교 분석을 통해 정서적 수명 연장, 물리적 수명 연장, 순환성 고려, 비물질화 등의 4가지 범주로 구분되는 24 가지 세부 전략 항목들을 식별할 수 있었다. 이 항목들 중 정서적 수명 연 장과 직접적으로 관련이 있는 16가지 항목들을 다시 연관성 있는 내용들끼 리 범주화하여 매력(Allure), 상호작용(Engagement), 관조(Contemplation), 충실성(Integrity), 물리성(Physicality)의 5개 그룹으로 이루어진 지속 가능 성 구현을 위한 정서적 측면의 디자인 가이드라인으로 도출하였다.
Abstract
For general consumer products, discarding is not only related to the physical durability of the product but also to the emotional value that the user feels for the product. In order to gain a clearer understanding of the design approaches that attempt to realize sustainability through the emotional aspect of products by making them last longer, this study aims to compare representative approaches and examine their characteristics, similarities, and differences. Through the comparative analysis, 24 detailed strategy items could be identified and divided into four categories: extending emotional lifespan, extending physical lifespan, considering circularity, and dematerialization. 16 of these items that were directly related to extending emotional longevity were then organized into five groups, such as Allure, Engagement, Contemplation, Integrity, and Physicality to derive emotional design guidelines for sustainability.
