기술위험에 대한 정보공정성 인식이 위험정보공유의도에 미치는 영향

초록
기술로 인해 발생하는 위험 즉 기술위험은 위험평가를 위해 다양한 전문지식이 필요하며, 위험평가 결과의 불확실성이 높다는 특징이 있다. 하지만 현대사회에서는 인터넷을 통해 과학적 검증이 부족하거나 이해관계에 따라 편향된 또는의도적으로 조작된 기술위험정보가 위험평가를 위한 전문지식이 제한적인 일반 소비자들에게 무분별하게 노출되고 있다. 그리고 소비자들이 이를 소셜미디어 등을 통해 타인들에게 공유함에 따라 검증되지 않은 기술위험정보가 사회적으로 빠르게 확산되고 있다. 이는 기술의 사회적 수용 및 관련 기업의 매출, 브랜드 이미지 등에 부정적 영향을 미친다. 이에 본 연구는 기술위험 관련 소비자들의 위험정보공유의도가 어떤 요인들에 의해 나타나는지를 정보공정성 개념을 중심으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 기술위험 관련 정보공정성을 낮게 인식할수록 소비자들의 기술에 대한 위험인식과 위험정보탐색행동은 높게 나타났다. 기술에 대한 위험인식은 위험정보탐색행동을 그리고 이는 다시 소비자들의 위험정보공유의도를 높였다. 또한 기술에 대한 위험인식과 위험정보공유의도 간의 관계를 이타심이 조절함이 검증되었다. 본 연구는이러한 연구결과를 통해 기술위험 관련 정보확산 관리 전략을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Today’s society is facing the amplification of risk information related to technological risk mainly through internet or social media where people can share information easily. However, in this social amplifying process without scientific verification, information related to technological risk can be spread indiscriminately. Additionally, these misleading information’s amplification can cause a negative effect of corporation’s sales or brand image. Thus, this study analyzed the effect of technological risk perception, risk information seeking and altruism on consumer’s risk information sharing intention, based on perceived informational fairness relevant to technological risk. As a result, the lower perception of informational fairness increases the levels of technological risk perception and risk information seeking. Moreover, technological risk perception accelerates the risk information seeking. And this dissertation found that altruism moderates the effect of technological risk perception on risk information sharing intention. Based on these results, implication for research on consumers’ risk information behavior are discussed.
