하이브리드 근무환경에서의 전문비서 업무경험에 관한 글로벌기업 A사 사례연구

This paper sets the scope on the hybrid work type, which combines work-from-home and office work, and reports the major experiences of executive assistants in the hybrid environment. The research participants comprised 16 EAs working for one company, including eight Koreans and eight foreigners (three Americans, two Chinese, one Canadian, one Indian, and one Taiwanese). First, the results showed that participants do not distinguish whether their work is performed at home or in the office. Second, they show that EAs are expected to have clearer communication skills in any format because most employees are now very familiar with working through text messages, email, and online meetings. Third, EAs tend to self-record their performance regularly for performance evaluation and were expected to communicate actively with their supervisors during the evaluation period. Fourth, the EA position was considered a good and easy start to their career. EAs also showed that they could invest their time for personal growth because of a relatively good balance of work and life through this hybrid work. Nevertheless, this study had a limitation in that only one company was assessed. Therefore, a follow-up study will conduct more in-depth research.
