This article, while extending congratulations on Professor Jun's retirement, aims to contribute to the advancement of criminal law studies by comprehensively documenting the research achievements he has accumulated over the years. Since the early stages of his career as a researcher, Professor Jun has diligently analyzed criminal law theories. Furthermore, he has conducted socially relevant research, including studies on cybercrime and medical jurisprudence. Moreover, he has unfolded legislative theories aimed at resolving the limitations of current criminal laws. Criminal law bears the responsibility of adapting to contemporary societal demands while simultaneously fulfilling the role of safeguarding human rights. Professor Jun's research over the years reflects a profound contemplation of the role and challenges associated with criminal law, serving as a vigilant guardian against attempts to recklessly dismantle the accumulated defenses for the protection of human rights. It can also provide excellent motivation for aspiring researchers among the younger generation. I express my admiration and gratitude for Professor Jun's dedicated efforts, and I extend heartfelt congratulations on his retirement.
