IT 개발자를 위한 역량모델링 수립: 42서울 이노베이션 아카데미 사례연구

While the interest in IT programmers is increasing, there has been a lack of effort and support from corporations and public institutions to enhance their competencies. This study focuses on the improvement of the competency model of Innovation Academy, which runs the 42 Seoul program, an educational institution for IT programmers, and conducts an in-depth case study on the establishment of a competency model that can enhance the soft skills of IT programmers. Through literature review, focus group interviews with external experts, panel discussion workshops, and internal management review, five competencies were selected: creative thinking, communication, analytical thinking, change management, and planning and structuring, and behavioral indicators were derived to develop each competency. The behavioral indicators are designed to meet the needs of IT programmers, and the competency levels are organized in three stages to match the process of learning, application, and performance. The behavioral indicators were established based on the BARS scale so that IT programmers' learning and performance can be evaluated through the competency modeling. The results of this study provide practical contributions to stimulate more attention in establishing competency modeling for IT programmers. In addition, this study contributes to laying the foundation for further research directions on competency modeling in human resource development research domain.
