확장현실과 특허효과 - Via LA를 중심으로 -

Currently, technologies related to XR(extended reality, AR/VR/MR), artificial intelligence, and big data, which can be seen as the core of the 4th Industrial Revolution, are improving around the world. The convergence between them is taking place in various fields, so companies around the world are accelerating the development or application of metaverse-related solutions based on them. Changes in new normal trends and untact industry emerges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, XR(extended reality) that can provide real face-to-face experience and immersion is drawing attention. Although online 2D services can partially respond to the technical constraints of non-face-to-face, there was a limit to providing face-to-face experience and immersion. Therefore, XR, which can deliver the closest experience to face-to-face even in non-face-to-face, is suggested as the most suitable technology. This XR is expected to change the landscape of the industry and bring new experiences to life. Therefore, in this study, we will look at the XR emerging as a new promising technology industries in the future and the license agreement for each detailed item of Via-LA. In addition, I would like to examine the marketability of Korea's XR technology and Patent strategies, future prospects, and policy implications.
