디자인 발상법을 활용한 아트 메이크업 제작 연구: 유추사고기법 NM-T형과 마인드맵을 중심으로
Research on Art Makeup Utilizing Design Ideation Method: Focused on the NM-T Type of an Analogy Thinking Technique and Mind Mapping

본 논문에서는 아트 메이크업의 작품 디자인 제작 능력에 있어 전개 과정이 간편하고 생각의 폭을 넓힐 수 있는 창의적인 디자인 발상법 중 NM-T형, 마인드맵을 활용하여 아트 메이크업 디자인 프로세스 과정에 따라 아트 메이크업 작품을 제작하는 데 목적이 있다. 이에 경북 소재 메이크업전공 대학생들이 NM-T형, 마인드맵을 중심으로 디자인 발상법을 활용하여 아트 메이크업 작품을 제작하였다. 그 결과, 2023 World Body painting Festival의 주제 Microcosmos(소우주)로 테마 설정, 디자인 프로세스 단계 중 NM 법(T형)의 키워드 결정(KW)과 유추 발상(QA) 단계에서 마인드맵을 사용하여 키워드를 도출하고 유추 배경(QB)과 콘셉트 설정(QC)에서 스토리를 구성, 바디페인팅 디자인 전개와 작품을 완성하였다. 디자인 발상 단계에서 학생들의 자발적인 마인드맵 작성을 통해 테마에 따른 키워드 도출과 키워드 결정을 쉽게 나열할 수 있었고 나열된 키워드에서 각 단어들의 의미와 학생들이 경험한 내용을 바탕으로 서술한 유추 배경 작품 전개를 통해 주어진 테마의 스토리 해석 능력을 향상할 수 있었다. 마인드맵의 키워드 도출과 NM 법(T형)의 스토리 전개 방식이 창의적 아이디어를 유도하고 생각의 폭을 넓혀 하나의 테마에서 학생들 간의 전개 스토리가 겹치지 않고 작품 디자인 컨셉을 구현해 낼 수 있었으며 그에 따른 이미지 검색 능력과 모티브 도출 능력 또한 향상됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 작품 초기 선정된 테마의 출발점에서 디자인 발상에 필요한 언어의 연상 방법과 이미지 도출을 거쳐 작품을 시각화, 구체화시키는 완성의 작
Abstract
The aim of this study is to produce makeup artworks through the process of makeup design, using creative design idea methods such as the NM-T Type and Mind Mapping, which facilitate a simple development process and broaden the scope of thinking. In this regard undergraduate students majoring in makeup in Gyeongbuk region utilized the NM-T Type and Mind Mapping as central components of composing a design to create makeup artworks. As a result, they completed body painting artwork based on the theme of the “2023 World Body Painting Festival”, “Microcosmos.” They used Mind Mapping during the NM Method (T-Type) keyword determination (KW) and analizing idea(QA) stages to derive keywords and construct a story during deducting the background (QB) and setting a concept (QC). Through the voluntary creation of Mind Maps during the design composition stage, students were able to easily list keywords related to the theme and make keyword decisions. By interpreting the story of the given theme through the descriptive deduction of the background of the artwork, they were able to enhance their ability to interpret the story of the given theme. Drawing keywords from Mind Mapping and the storytelling approach of the NM Method (T-Type) stimulated creative ideas and expanded the scope of thinking, enabling students to implement their design concepts without overlapping with each other’s stories. This process also improved their ability to search for images and derive motifs. From the initial selection of the theme, through the association of words required for composing a design and image derivation to visualize and to develop of the artwork this case demonstrates the creative and efficient use of the thinking techniques.
