우리나라 야간로스쿨 도입을 위한 연구 - 도입 필요성과 방안을 중심으로 -

The current law school system in Korea, which requires three years of full-time study, creates entry barriers for those who need to balance work or family commitments. This barrier limits the influx of individuals with diverse social experiences, thereby restricting the development of skilled legal professionals who are both diverse and specialized in their fields. At this juncture, the introduction of evening law schools should be considered as a means to overcome and improve the limitations and issues of the current system. Further, evening law schools can contribute significantly to the training of skilled legal professionals, not only in terms of providing equal educational opportunities but also in enhancing the quality of legal education. The discussion method involves first analyzing the limitations of the current law school system to establish the need for evening law schools. This is followed by examining the operation of evening law schools in the United States, which serves as a model for our law school system, to draw lessons and insights for a substantial discussion on introducing evening law schools in Korea. To outline specific plans for the introduction of evening law schools, it has been proposed that evening law schools serve as a means to train competent legal professionals and that a balance is needed between actively realizing equality and addressing reverse discrimination issues.
