Recently, the need for ESG management and practice for start-ups in addition to large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises is emerging. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced a plan to promote ESG for small and medium-sized businesses in November 2021, and has launched and is operating an ESG preparation public-private council. ESG management is an essential requirement for startups and ventures to take a global leap forward, and various measures are being taken to spread ESG. I'm making an effort. On July 13, 2022, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups established ESG venture investment standard guidelines for start-ups and venture companies and is conducting a pilot operation. In addition, in order to ensure the stability and advancement of ESG, we are actively supporting start-ups and venture companies through various ESG-based projects and programs. In order to make ESG practice a reality, ESG planning measures for start-up companies are established and written in the business plan for start-up support projects. However, as difficulties arise due to the lack of ESG awareness among actual start-up companies and founders, the core laws of start-up support projects are being revised. By clearly presenting ESG regulations in the Small and Medium Business Startup Support Act, we would like to contribute by suggesting legal improvement measures to help start-ups operate their businesses and attract investment in the future.
