환경경영활동이 기업재무성과에 미치는 영향 분석 : 기후변화 대응을 중심으로

This study analyzes the impact of climate change response environmental management activities on corporate financial performance(ROA, ROE, TQ) for companies subject to the domestic target management system or emissions trading system that publish sustainability reports at least twice during the period 2018-2022. We found that climate change response environmental management activities increase corporate financial performance, and we found that climate change response environmental management activities have a greater impact on corporate financial performance of companies subject to the emissions trading system than companies subject to the target management system. As the interest and importance of disclosing environmental information as well as GHG reduction is increasing, companies are increasingly utilizing sustainability reports and websites. In the case of data disclosed on the website, it is recognized as unverified data and has low accuracy and reliability, and as the obligation to disclose sustainability management reports is scheduled to be expanded to companies listed on the securities market with total assets of KRW 2 trillion or more from 2025 and to all listed companies on the KOSPI in 2030, it is desirable to publish sustainability management reports that can contain accurate and diverse information through data collection and verification of environmental information.
