기독교대학의 학원복음화 사례 성과분석 - B예술대학의 채플과 사랑축제를 중심으로 -

최근 대학의 채플이 위기적 상황을 맞이하며 그에 대한 효과와 학생들의 관심을 높이고자 하는 노력이 다양하게 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 기독교대학 학원복음화의 사례로 B예술대학의 채플과 사랑축제를 소개하여 그 성과와 의미를 분석해 보는 데에 목적이 있다. 즉 코로나 팬데믹 이전 2019년까지 3년간 B예술대학에서 진행된 학원복음화 활동을 사역준비부터 결과까지 자세히 분석함으로서, 그에 대한 성과를 소개하고 개선점을 제시하고자 한다. 구체적으로는 먼저 기독교대학 채플과 문화 콘텐츠 선교 프로그램인 사랑축제에 대한 이해들 돕기 위해 내용을 소개한다. 그리고 비기독교 학생들의 참여에 주목하여 이것이 선교에 미친 영향을 분석한다. 비기독학생의 비율은 기독학생과 비교해 높은 상황으로, 분석을 위해 사랑축제에 초청된 인원과 출석 인원, 세례 인원을 통계적으로 파악해 학원복음화의 성과와 발전가능성을 살펴보았다. 그리고 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 3년 동안의 B예술대학교 ‘사랑축제’ 내용과 의미들을 정리해서 대학 채플이 “세례 자체가 받는 사람은 물론 증인으로 참여하는 비기독교인에게도 복음을 선포하는 방편이 된다”라는 임무를 수행함을 입증할 수 있었다. 둘째, 자발적인 참여로 이루어지는 ‘사랑축제’가 보다 적극적으로 표현되고 적용될 때 기독교에 대한 이해와 채플의 만족도가 높아지며 복음화율이 높아지는 경향이 있다. 마지막으로 의무 채플이 아닌 학생들의 자발적인 참여로 이루어지는 프로그램의 적극적인 개발이 필요하다는 점이 확인되었다. 즉 채플의 계획(Plan)이 어떠한 시행(Do)을 통해 결과를 가져오는지를 평가하고(See), 평가를 토대로 더 나은 대학 채플을 시행하게 된다면(Action), 채플의 특성화는 더욱 구체화하여 채플 참여자의 교육 만족도와 복음화율 향상을 기대할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to view the Christian University about the characterization in University Chapel for the University evangelization. Recently, the movement refusing University Chapel is rising in the inside and outside of Christian University. Under these crisis situations, University Chapel staff have been giving the participants enough education satisfaction through the whole elements of the chapel containing all chapter of chapel programs. And also University Chapel have been studying various researches and trying to exploit new chapel programs to elevate the contentment of non-christian students. As a matter of fact, the Christian University chapel is the aim of evangelization. Actually, most of those programs were based on the student’s requests and hopes so that they could signal the students’ expectation and interest. Now, it is the time to contemplate how to elevate the evangelization which is the main purpose of the University Chapel. One of the alternatives can be the ‘Sarang Festival’. In order to prove this ‘Sarang Festival’ is a way of pronouncing the gospel not only to the recipient but also to those who content in the ceremony. If the baptismal ceremony is prepared and exploited by voluntary participation, the willing of student’s chapel and the evangelization rate will be increased. Participation in this festival is voluntary. In order to examine this, the tracing study is used. First, the various program for the non-christian students in Baekseok Arts University is presented. Second, the tracing study is enriched to find out the positive effect of the baptismal ceremony on the satisfaction of student’s chapel and the comprehension for the Christian spirit. In order words, the contents and meaning of the christening chapel performed by the faculties of all division in Baekseok Arts University are introduced, Finally, the study shows that Sarang Festival can be the core competency of the evangelization to the baptism recipient as well as presence students. This research also shows empirical evidence that the baptismal ceremony ‘Sarang Festival’ can uprise the satisfaction of student’s chapel and elevate comprehension for the Christian spirit. In fact, one more noticeable fact is founded. If the students who request their confession of faith in the christening chapel, the characterization in Christian University Chapel has the another way to create higher rate of evangelization.
