직장 내 괴롭힘 상담 진행에 관한 상담자 경험 연구

This study attempted to explore the themes and patterns of counselor’s experiences in workplace bullying counseling. To this end, the latent thematic analysis of Braun and Clarke (2006) was used, and the data of in-depth interviews with eight counselors who conducted workplace bullying cases were analyzed. The results of counseling experiences of the participants were classified into 13 themes and 39 sub-themes. The themes for case understanding were workplace bullying complained of by clients, mental health and daily difficulties caused by bullying, and client resources used to overcome bullying. The themes for counseling process were evaluating crisis level and focusing on psychological stabilizing, searching for expectations for counseling the client wants, focusing on restoring collapsed control, and strategy and career coaching for subsequent responses. The themes for counseling outcome were expanding self-understanding related to bullying damage, restoring interpersonal bonds, improving psychological control, active coping behavior with bullying damage, and the themes for marginal recognition were barriers to the progress of bullying counseling, and considering consultation of legal knowledge and external experts. Based on these findings, the themes of the participants’ counseling experiences were schematized. Finally, considerations for counseling victims bullied in the workplace were discussed, and corporate educations were suggested for protecting victims.
