대기업 HRD 담당자의 ESG 경영 인식과 역량개발에 대한 탐구

[Purpose]The purpose of this research is to explore HRD managers’ understanding of ESG management and their experiences in practice, applying the Association for Talent Development (ATD) model. [Methods]We conducted in－depth interviews with ten HRD working professionals from large corporations. These interviews provided detailed insights into their perspectives, tensions, and challenges in practice to foster ESG management. [Findings]First, HRD managers demonstrated a fair understanding of ESG concepts and actively sought to acquire relevant knowledge beyond institutional provision. Second, efforts to implement ESG management varied in scale but were consistently present. This indicates HRD managers’ and professionals’ voluntary approach to incorporating ESG principles within organizational practices. Third, using the ATD competency model, we identified key competencies to facilitate ESG management in corporations. [Implications]This study fills the gap between HRD practice and ESG management. This research contributes to the field by proposing an ESG competency model based on the ATD framework, offering guidelines for HRD professionals to enhance their facilitation of ESG initiatives.
