The Impact of Franchisor Support on Franchisee Satisfaction, Performance, and Re-Contract Intention

This study presented conclusions and implications by identifying the causal relationship between franchise franchisor support, franchisees' satisfaction and management performance, and re-contract Intention. For this purpose, a study was conducted by securing a total of 297 copies of an online survey from December 1 to December 17, 2024, targeting franchise owners of franchise companies that can support franchises nationwide. First, general information about franchise stores was confirmed, and second, a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted on franchisor support (training support, management support, logistics support), franchisee satisfaction, management performance, and re-contract intention, resulting in a total of 6. Several factors were identified. Third, an empirical analysis was performed on the six factors derived through confirmatory factor analysis to verify the hypothesis, and positive influence was confirmed in all hypotheses. The franchisor maintains the franchise system by providing various supports to franchisees. In this process, franchisees were found to be satisfied and decide to improve business performance and re-contracts. These research results are significant in that they identify the impact of the franchise franchisor's various support policies on franchisee satisfaction, management performance, and re-contract intention. Therefore, the franchisors should establish an active support policy for franchisees as a way to prevent franchisees from leaving.
