창업기업의 기업가정신이 혁신성과에 미치는 영향: ESG필요성의 매개효과를 중심으로

[Purpose]Entrepreneurship is an important factor in ensuring sustainable growth. ESG, a concept emphasizing corporate social responsibility and sustainable management, has received increasing attention as an essential element of business start－ups. This study empirically analyzes whether entrepreneurship and ESG awareness of start－ups significantly impact innovation performance and whether ESG awareness mediates the relationship between entrepreneurship and innovation performance. [Methodology]This study surveyed 120 people operating startup companies nationwide with the Naver Survey by snowballing method, and the hypotheses were tested through regression analysis. [Findings]The results show that innovation, enterprising, and risk－taking all have a positive effect on innovation performance. Second, innovation and risk－taking have a positive effect on ESG awareness, but enterprising does not have a significant effect on ESG awareness. Third, ESG awareness has a positive effect on innovation performance. Fourth, ESG awareness mediated the relationship between innovation performance and risk－taking and innovation performance. [Implications]It can be seen that entrepreneurship and ESG awareness are necessary to strengthen the innovation capabilities of startups. This suggests that support for entrepreneurship and understanding of ESG in startups is needed.
