중소벤처기업의 역동적 능력과 기술혁신이 성과에 미치는 영향

Firm resources and capabilities are the source of its competitive advantage and profitability. Thus, many previous studies have focused considerable research efforts on examining the relationship between firm capabilities and competitiveness-business performance. However, most of these studies have been centered mainly on large enterprises, which poses a fundamental limitation when attempting to generalize the findings to small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) and venture companies. Additionally, while previous research has primarily focused on the direct relationship between corporate capabilities and business performance, there is a lack of studies analyzing how firm capabilities influence the level or extent of technological innovation in SMEs and venture companies. Therefore, this study goes a step further than previous research by theoretically and empirically examining the relationship between capabilities, technological innovation, and business performance in SMEs and venture companies. The results of PLS statistical analysis show that the R&D capabilities, production and operational capabilities, and strategic organizational management capabilities of SMEs and venture companies have a positive and significant impact not only on the level of technological competitiveness compared to domestic competitors but also on the level of technological competitiveness in international markets. These findings suggest that corporate capabilities can indeed contribute to enhancing the level of technological innovation in SMEs and venture companies. Furthermore, the study found that technological innovation significantly affects a company's annual sales and future growth potential. These findings are expected to expand the theoretical and empirical understanding of the relationship between dynamic capabilities, technological innovation, and performance in SMEs and venture companies.
