ICT 기업지원사업의 참여기업 특성과 기업성장에 대한 영향 분석

This paper reveals the characteristics of companies that participated in the ICT support project in Gyeongnam and analyzes the effect on corporate growth. Financial data of 231 companies that participated in the ICT corporate support project, along with 231 matching companies, from 2020 to 2022 are analyzed. The main analysis results are as follows: First, the corporate support project has the potential to enhance the growth of participating companies, as confirmed by preliminary analysis showing differences in growth rates between the experimental and control groups. Second, the variables influencing participation in ICT corporate support projects are leverage and business age. Companies with higher leverage and younger business age were more likely to participate in these projects. Third, the ICT corporate support project significantly positively affects the asset growth rate of participating companies. This study is meaningful as it confirms that corporate support projects positively impact company growth, even when controlling for company-specific variables. Fourth, the impact of ICT corporate support projects on a company’s asset growth rate varies by project type, with non-R&D projects significantly contributing to corporate growth. Finally, the ICT corporate support project appears to significantly impact corporate growth, as measured by the sales growth rate, confirming the robustness of the main analysis results across different measures of corporate growth. The contribution of this study lies in its empirical revelation of the characteristics of companies participating in ICT corporate support projects and in showing how these projects affect the growth of the participating companies.
