‘탈세계화 현상’ 패러다임 전환인가 패러다임 내의 변화인가?: 무역 영역에 대한 국제정치경제학적 분석

The purpose of this article is to analyze whether the currently debated phenomenon of deglobalization really means the end of the globalization paradigm or is simply a change within the paradigm, focusing on the trade sector. In this regard, this article starts from the awareness that the current deglobalization debate tends to focus too much on economic and quantitative aspects. In other words, there is a lot of tendency to evaluate the phenomenon of deglobalization based on whether economic figures that can measure the degree of globalization have decreased compared to the past. However, in this case, it is believed that there is a problem that qualitative aspects such as historical specificity and political characteristics inherent in the deglobalization phenomenon may be overlooked as politics and economy are separated. In order to compensate for these problems, this article breaks away from the dictionary definition of (de)globalization and reorganizes it into the concept of a ‘political’ or ‘hegemonic’ project, using a research method different from existing discussions.
