지역전략산업에 대한 정부 및 기업의 R&D투자가 기업의 기술혁신과 비즈니스 성과에 미치는 영향

This study was conducted to examine the effects of actual regional strategic industry support policies in depth, as previous research on regional strategic industries and support policies was limited to integrated analysis of the entire industry or simple descriptive statistical analysis of each industry. The causal relationship established as a research model was analyzed through survey data collected from 380 companies that received government R&D support out of a total of 674 companies belonging to six strategic industrial sectors in Gwangju Metropolitan City. The analysis results showed that government R&D support increased companies’ own R&D investment, and both government R&D support and companies’ own R&D investment showed a mitigating effect on the degree of corporate R&D obstacles and management environment obstacles. Second, it was found that corporate R&D investment had a positive effect on both continuous technological innovation performance and corporate technological capabilities. Third, the mediating effect of government R&D support on the positive effects of discontinuous technological innovation performance and corporate technological capabilities through the company's own R&D investment was verified. Fourth, the degree of obstacles in the corporate management environment had a positive effect on discontinuous technological innovation performance, and the accumulation of discontinuous technological innovation performance had a positive effect on the company's permanent technological capabilities. Lastly, the company's discontinuous technological innovation performance did not show a significant effect on the company's management performance(corporate competitiveness, sales performance, employment performance), but the company's technological capabilities showed a significant positive effect on all of the management performances. This suggests that government R&D support for SMEs should be supported by mid-to long-term support to promote the company's own R&D investment, accumulate corporate capabilities, and lead to corporate performance.
