As environmental problems caused by climate change become more serious, efforts to achieve carbon neutrality are being emphasized around the world. Used goods trading is attracting attention as an effective way to save energy and resources needed to produce new products, and this study proposes ways to maximize the effect of reducing carbon emissions through used goods trading. The following three measures are needed to maximize the effect of reducing carbon emissions through used goods trading. The government should prepare policies to revitalize the transaction of used goods and strengthen publicity and education for companies and consumers. Legal and institutional foundations for revitalizing used goods trading are needed, and policies to revitalize used goods trading should be prepared. Companies should be recognized for their efforts to reduce carbon emissions through transactions of used goods and prepare various support programs such as subsidies for purchasing used goods and purchases of carbon credits to recognize their efforts to reduce carbon emissions through transactions. It is necessary to present an awareness to all consumers that transactions of used goods can benefit economically. The research results suggest that used goods trading has the potential to maximize the effect of reducing carbon emissions.
