간호대학생의 다문화봉사활동 경험에 따른 다문화 인식, 문화간 감수성, 다문화 효능감 비교

본 연구는 간호대학생의 다문화봉사활동 경험여부에 따른 다문화 인식, 문화간 감수성, 다문화 효능감의 차이를 확인하고자 시행된 연구이다. 연구설계는 구조화된 설문지를 사용한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자는 G도와 G광역시 소재 2개 대학의 간호학과 재학생 중 다문화봉사활동 경험이 있는 그룹 73명과 다문화봉사활동 경험이 없는 그룹 79명을 대상으로 비교하였다. 자료수집은 2024년 5월에 2주 동안 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 25.0을 이용하여 교차분석, 독립 t-검정, ANCOVA, Pearson 상관분석으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 다문화봉사활동 경험이 있는 그룹은 경험이 없는 그룹보다 다문화 효능감(t=3.83, p< .01)이 높았다. 다문화봉사활동 경험이 있는 그룹의 다문화 인식은 문화간 감수성(r= .46, p< .01), 다문화 효능감(r= .23, p= .05)과 유의한 양의 상관관계가 나타났고, 다문화봉사활동 경험이 없는 그룹의 다문화 인식은 문화간 감수성(r= .49, p< .01)과 유의한 양의 상관관계가 나타났다. 간호대학생에게 다문화봉사활동 경험은 다문화 인식, 문화간 감수성, 다문화 효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 간호대학생들에게 봉사활동의 영역을 확장하여 다문화접촉의 기회를 제공함으로써 다문화 인식, 문화간 감수성, 다문화 효능감을 향상시키기 위한 다양한 측면의 노력이 필요함을 시시한다.
Abstract
This study is conducted to confirm the difference in multicultural awareness, cultural sensitivity, and multicultural efficacy of nursing students according to the experience of multicultural volunteer activities. Research design is a narrative study using structured questionnaire. The subjects of the study are 73 groups of nursing students in two universities in G and G -Metropolitan City, and 79 groups who have no experience in multicultural volunteer activities. Data collection was conducted for two weeks in May 2024. The data analysis was analyzed by SPSS 25.0 using Independent t-test, ANCOVA, and Pearson Correlation Coefficient. The results of the study showed that the group with experience in multicultural volunteer activities had higher multicultural efficacy than the group without experience(t=3.83, p< .01). The multicultural awareness of the group with experience in multicultural volunteer activities showed a significant positive correlation with intercultural sensitivity (r= .46, p< .01) and multicultural efficacy(r= .23, p= .05). The multicultural awareness of the group without experience in multicultural volunteer activities showed a significant positive correlation with intercultural sensitivity(r= .49, p< .01). Multicultural volunteer experience positively influences nursing students' multicultural awareness, intercultural sensitivity, and multicultural efficacy. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that expanding nursing students' involvement in volunteer activities to provide more opportunities for multicultural interactions is essential to enhance their multicultural awareness, intercultural sensitivity, and multicultural efficacy.
