한국 취업을 희망하는 중국 여자 유학생들의 취업동기 및 취업준비에 대한 내러티브 연구
A Narrative Study on the Employment Motivations and Job Preparations of Chinese Female International Students Hoping to Find a Job in Korea

본 연구는 한국에서의 취업을 희망하는 재한 중국 여자 유학생들의 취업동기와 취업준비 과정과 관련한 경험을 내러티브 연구방법을 통해 살펴보고자 하였다. 내러티브 질적연구방법을 이용하여 국내에 유학 중인 중국 여자 유학생 6명 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 실시하고 핵심적인 주제와 내용을 도출하였다. 자료수집은 2024년 6월부터 2024년 9월까지 진행되었다. 분석결과 <한국유학 선택의 배경>, <한국정착 결심의 이유>, <한국정주 선택의 이유와 취업동기>, <설레는 미래를 위한 취업준비>의 4개 주제가 도출되었다. 중국 여자 유학생들은 한류사랑으로 한국이주를 동경하였으며, 교환학생 제도를 통해 한국으로 이동한 후 대학원 진학을 통해 한국유학을 결정하였다. 한국정착에는 중국보다 선진화된 생활문화와 매력 그리고 한국인의 정과 한류체험이 영향을 미치고 있었다. 한국정주와 한국기업 취업의 동기는 한국기업의 급여 및 복지혜택과 같은 조건과 한국 취업기간의 연장을 가능하게 하는 구직비자(D10)와 대학원 진학으로 이러한 결정을 하였다. 대학원 진학과 구직비자(D10)는 취업준비 기간을 연장하여 실질적인 구직활동보다는 진로목표를 설정과 자격증 등의 진로준비 과정으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 한국기업 취업을 희망하는 중국 여자유학생들의 취업동기와 취업준비 과정의 상황을 성찰하고 이들을 위한 취업준비 프로그램 제공 및 정책의 필요성에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the employment motives and job preparation process of female Chinese students who wish to get a job in Korea through a narrative research method. To this end, in-depth interviews were conducted with 6 Chinese female international students using a narrative qualitative research method. As a result of the analysis, <The background of the choice to study in Korea>, <the reason for the decision to settle in Korea>, <the reason and motivation for choosing to settle in Korea>, and <preparation for employment for the exciting future> were derived. Chinese female international students longed for moving to Korea with love for the Korean Wave, and decided to study in Korea through the exchange student system. The motivation for employment in Korea was made by conditions such as salary and welfare benefits for Korean companies, and by entering the graduate school and job visa(D10), which enables the extension of the Korean employment period. Through the results of this study, we presented implications for the necessity of providing employment preparation programs and policies for them.
