Education in General Radiological Examination Methods Analysis of Improvement Needs

The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the improvement needs of radiology education for general radiology examinations by clinical radiological technologists using Borich’s needs analysis, and to provide basic data for consistent general radiology examination education in educational institutions and clinical settings. This study analyzed the education needs using the paired sample t-test and Borich needs formula using a structured questionnaire. The general characteristics of the respondents were 123 males and 34 females, and the average age was 39.3±10.3 years. The results of the paired sample t-test and Borich needs analysis showed that ‘education on the DR (digital radiography) system’, ‘the general radiography examination method by region in the textbook should be improved in line with the development speed of imaging equipment’, and ‘the relative value of health insurance should be improved according to the change in the difficulty and weight of the examination method’. In conclusion, it is thought that education suitable for the environment of the digital system, the examination method included in the textbook should be improved in line with the development speed of imaging equipment, and the resource-based relative value of the National Health Insurance Corporation should be improved.
