초록
The semiconductor industry has gained attention with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and demand has surged during COVID-19, leading to steady growth in the semiconductor equipment sector. Global semiconductor equipment businesses dominate nearly 80% of the market share, with South Korea emerging as a key investment destination. To succeed in this complex field, project managers must excel in stakeholder communication and analysis, highlighting the need for advanced project management skills. This study examined the effects of project managers' leadership competencies on project management performance in the global semiconductor equipment industry. Through literature reviews and surveys of professionals involved in related projects, managerial and creative skills were identified as key factors influencing performance. Managerial skills positively impact IT and construction projects, while creative skills play a crucial role in cultural projects, indicating that the importance of leadership competencies varies by industry. The findings suggest that emphasizing managerial and creative skills, alongside targeted education and training to address competency gaps, can enhance project performance in the semiconductor equipment industry. Strengthening these areas through self-development is essential for achieving efficient and effective outcomes in global projects.
