인공지능(AI) 기술의 급격한 발전으로 생성형 AI가 우리 사회에 가장 큰 혁신으로 주목 받고 있다. 의료, 생명과학, 개발, 법률, 금융, 마케팅, 공공부문 등 다양한 분야에서 생성형 AI에 대한 수요가 확대되고 있다. 생성형 AI를 활용해 콘텐츠를 손쉽게 생성할 수 있다는 점에서 이용자의 긍정적 평가가 높아지는 한편, 딥페이크, 가짜뉴스, 저작권 침해 문제 등 부작용이 확산되고 있는 상황도 주지의 사실이다. 생성형 AI에 대한 이용자의 긍·부정 평가가 혼재되어 나타나고 있는 이상의 상황을 고려해, 본 연구에서는 생성형 AI의 지속이용 원인을 파악하고자 했다. 분석결과 이용자가 생성형 AI 활용시 인지하는 품질은 유용성 및 기대충족에 정적 영향을 미쳤으나, 정보 최신성은 유용성, 기대충족과 유의미한 관련성을 보이지 못하였다. 이용자가 생성형 AI 이용 시 인지하는 기능적 위험은 기대충족과 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인됐으나, 연구가설과 반대로 저작권 침해 위험은 기대충족에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 인지된 유용성은 만족과 지속이용의도에 기대충족은 인지된 유용성과 만족에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 이용자의 생성형 AI 이용에 대한 만족감은 지속이용의도에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 검증됐다. 생성형 AI 이용자의 지속이용 원인을 확인한 본 연구 결과는 생성형 AI 이용과 관련된 이론적 설명력을 높이고, AI 활용 산업 진흥을 위한 참고 자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.
Abstract
The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology positions generative AI as a transformative innovation across sectors such as healthcare, life sciences, development, law, finance, marketing, and the public sector. While demand for generative AI continues to grow due to capabilities on generating new content in response to a prompt, concerns about deepfakes, misinformation, and copyright infringement persist. This study examines the factors influencing users' continuance intention to use generative AI in light of these mixed perceptions. The findings reveal that perceived quality positively influences perceived usefulness and expectation confirmation, though information recency has no significant impact. Perceived functional risk negatively affects expectation confirmation, but in contrary to initial hypotheses, perceived risks of copyright infringement positively influences expectation confirmation. Perceived usefulness enhances both user satisfaction and continuance intention, and expectation confirmation further strengthens perceived usefulness and satisfaction. Ultimately, satisfaction emerges as a significant predictor of continuance intention. These findings advance our understanding of the determinants driving continued use of generative AI, offering valuable theoretical insights and practical implications for AI industry development.
