초록
In general, ESG management is conducted for external stakeholders, but the impact on internal employees is also very important. In particular, in the case of airlines, the service provided by cabin crews determines management performance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the influence of airlines’ ESG management on the organizational pride and organizational citizenship behavior of cabin crews and to identify its role. The sample for the survey was selected from cabin crews belonging to the cabin team of Korean Air who have been working for more than one year. The survey was conducted for 30 days from June 1 to 30, 2024 using a self-administered questionnaire that cabin crews filled out themselves. Of the collected questionnaires, those that were incomplete or inconsistently completed were excluded, and 223 questionnaires were ultimately used as a valid sample for analysis. The analysis results showed that environment and social among airlines’ ESG management had a positive effect on organizational pride. In particular, the environment was found to have the greatest effect on organizational pride. On the other hand, the governance did not have a significant effect on organizational pride. In addition, organizational pride was found to have a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Finally, it was confirmed that environmental and social factors strengthen organizational citizenship behavior through cabin crews' organizational pride. Through these results, this study identified that ESG management of airlines is an important factor not only for consumers but also for employees, and presented practical implications for effective human resource management of airlines.
