준실험설계를 활용한 기동순찰대 순찰의 112신고에 대한 효과 분석

This study analyzed the effectiveness of patrols by the mobile patrol unit using a quasi-experimental design, comparing the number of 112 emergency calls received before and after the patrols. Eight experimental and control areas were established within the jurisdictions of four police agencies, and odds ratios were derived based on the number of 112 calls observed before and after the patrols in each area. The estimated combined odds ratio across all areas was 1.112, confirming a 10.10% reduction in 112 calls due to the patrols. Additionally, the reduction in 112 calls was found to be most significant for Code 0 incidents, followed by Code 1 and Code 2 incidents. An analysis of patrol effectiveness by police stations revealed a reduction in 112 calls in most stations, with the exception of some stations in the B and D police agencies. These findings provide empirical evidence supporting the continued operation of the mobile patrol unit and underscore the need for patrol strategies that align with the security characteristics of each police station and the types of incidents reported.
