본 연구는 전문직 후기 베이비부머 세대가 기대하는 미래형 주거에 대한 선호와 요구를 파악하고, 삶의질을 보장할 수 있는 주거 환경과 서비스를 탐색하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 서울과 경기 지역에 거주하는 전문직 후기 베이비부머 9명을 대상으로 2024년 12월 7일부터 16일까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 전문직 후기 베이비부머 세대는 자연 친화적인 환경과 의료 접근성, 교통 편의성이 보장된주거지를 중요하게 여겼다. 또한, 응급 호출 시스템, AI 기반 건강 관리, 원격 모니터링 등 스마트 기술이결합된 환경이 삶의 질을 높이는 데 필수적이라 평가하였다. 정기적인 건강 관리, 식사 및 청소 지원, 병원 방문 지원 등 통합적 주거 서비스에 대한 요구도 높았으며, 이러한 서비스는 노년기의 안정적이고 풍요로운 삶을 지원하는 핵심 요소로 나타났다. 이와 함께, 사회적 고립을 방지하고 활력을 유지하기 위한 커뮤니티 활동 공간과 여가 시설도 중요한 요구로 확인되었다. 아울러, 경제적 부담을 최소화하며 주거와 돌봄 서비스를 제공받을 수 있는 환경에 대한 기대도 강조되었다. 이를 위해 지원형 주택, 임대료 보조, 돌봄 서비스 비용 지원과 같은 정책적 지원의 필요성이 제기되었다. 결론적으로, 전문직 후기 베이비부머 세대가 기대하는 미래형 주거는 자연과 기술의 조화, 독립성과 돌봄의 균형, 경제적 부담의 최소화를 특징으로 하며, 고령화 사회에서 지속 가능한 삶을 지원하는 중요한모델로 작용할 것이다.
Abstract
This study aimed to identify the preferences and needs of professional late baby boomers for future housing and explore residential environments and services that can ensure their quality of life. A survey was conducted from December 7 to 16, 2024, targeting nine professional late baby boomers residing in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The results revealed that late baby boomers prioritize nature-friendly environmentsalongside medical accessibilityand transport convenience. They also considered smart technologies, such as emergency call systems, AI-based health management, and remote monitoring, essential for enhancing their quality of life. There was a high demand for integrated residential services, including regular health check-ups, meal and cleaning support, and hospital transportation. These services were recognized as key factors in supporting a stable and fulfilling life in later years. Additionally, the importance of community activity spaces and recreational facilitiesto prevent social isolation and promote vitality was emphasized. Furthermore, reducing financial burdenswhile providing accessible housing and care services was a significant concern. Policies supporting assisted living housing, rent subsidies, and care service cost assistancewere deemed essential. In conclusion, the ideal future housing for late baby boomers harmonizes nature and technology, balances independence and care, and minimizes financial burdens. This model not only ensures quality of life but also serves as a sustainable solution for an aging society.
