Empowering Social Identity through ESG: Mediating Roles of Credibility, Prestige, and Active Participation

[Purpose]As demands for ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) initiatives increase among stakeholders, their importance grows. This study investigates how perceptions of ESG shape social identification. It specifically examines the impact of ESG perceptions on organizational credibility, perceived external prestige (PEP), and employee participation in ESG initiatives, and how these factors collectively influence social identification. [Methodology]To explore conceptual models and examine hypotheses, data were collected from employee participants in Uzbekistan. [Findings]The findings reveal that perceptions of ESG affect credibility, PEP, employee participation, consequently, influencing social identification. [Implications]This study provides valuable insights with significant implications for both academic and practical applications within the field of ESG.
