인구증감이 지역창업에 미치는 영향 연구: 17개 광역지자체를 중심으로

[Purpose]This study aimed to demonstrate the impact of population increase and decrease in 17 local governments in Korea on entrepreneurship. [Methodology]This study reviewed previous studies based on entrepreneurship and extracted independent and dependent variables. The independent variables consisted of various population variables such as the total population by region, as well as infrastructure variables such as income variables. The dependent variables were the number of start－up and the number of tech start－ups. The analysis method was panel regression analysis using 5 years of time series data from 17 local governments. [Findings]The independent variables that affect the number of start－ups, are total population, the number of old people, the number of unemployed people, the number of economically active people, and the number of fund investment performance, and the independent variables that affect the number of tech start－ups, were total population, economically active population. [Implications]Based on research results, there is a need to increase the population and start－ups through immigration, and differentiated start－up support policies are needed through deregulation and investment support for start－up. In addition, it is necessary to revitalize BI centers through support and the operation of specialized BI centers.
