AI 기반 가상 헤어스타일 시뮬레이션에 관한 사례 연구

This study is a case study on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the beauty industry, specifically focusing on hairstyle recommendations and simulations. In the beauty industry, AI technology analyzes customers’ facial shapes, hair conditions, and style preferences to provide personalized hairstyle recommendations. Combined with augmented reality (AR), it enables customers to virtually experience various styles in advance. AI-powered smart mirrors offer real-time virtual experiences by modifying and adjusting hairstyles, allowing customers to explore different styles, such as long, medium, or short cuts, tailored to their facial features. The purpose of this study is to academically review the application cases of AI-driven hairstyle models and propose directions for utilizing AI technology in the beauty industry. The research methodology involves collecting and analyzing case studies and data from AI-related articles, apps, previous research, and academic journals. The study investigates how AI technology is applied to hairstyle models through virtual experiences and presents it as an example of a real-time personalized experience system. Experiments were conducted using AI-generated virtual faces, acknowledging the limitations associated with this approach. In conclusion, technologies like AI-powered smart mirrors promote innovation in the beauty industry, enabling the suggestion of various styles, including short haircuts. Future research is expected to include empirical studies validating the suitability of selected hairstyles, with the hope that AI technology will be increasingly utilized in the beauty industry.
