초록
AI advancements are transforming crime prevention, potentially making offenses like shoplifting impossible through technologies like AI surveillance and automated stores. This fundamentally challenges the existing criminal law system, which is built on the premise of crime being possible, because AI crime prevention system could cut out such possibilities. Two main paths forward are conceivable: 1) Shrink the criminal justice system, relying heavily on AI-driven preventative measures and shifting the focus to administrative policing for minor infractions. 2) Preserve the criminal justice system by re-evaluating and emphasizing the value of "freedom of stupidity".
