통합혁신모형에 의한 승차 공유서비스의 경제적 확산요인 분석:그랩(Grab)의 사례를 중심으로

이 연구는 통합확산요인과 플랫폼 기술 기반 새로운 산업의 확산요인 간 정합성을 검증하는 것이다. 선행연구에서 국내 승차 공유서비스 사례를 통해 논의된 분석 틀이 해외 혁신 사례에도 적용 가능한지 검토하고자 한다. 이를 위해 동남아시아 지역의 대표적인 승차 공유서비스 플랫폼 기업인 그랩을 분석 대상으로 선정하였고, 그랩은 어떠한 이유로 동남아시아 지역에서 성공적인 확산을 하였으며, 그랩의 확산요인은 통합혁신모형의 확산요인과 일치하는지 논의하고자 한다. 이 연구에서는 체계적 문헌분석을 활용하여 그랩의 확산요인을 도출하고, 도출된 결과를 통합 확산요인과 비교하여 정합성을 검토하였다. 분석 결과, 그랩의 주된 확산요인은 기술 이용에 따른 편익 향상, 혁신에 대한 선호성향, 경제·사회 환경에 따른 승차 공유서비스 플랫폼 기업의 전략 구사와 대응으로 기존 통합확산요인과 대체로 일치하였다. 동남아시아 지역의 특수성을 반영하는 확산요인이 추가 발견되었다. 특히 현지 시장 적응력과 지방정부와의 협력관계가 중요한 확산요인으로 작용했다는 점에서 기존 통합확산요인의 확장이 필요함을 시사한다.
Abstract
The study tests the relationship between integration, diffusion, and new industry based on platform technology. It examines the application of the discussed analytical framework to international cases. We use Grab, a Southeast Asian ride-sharing leader, as the subject of analysis.In this study, we discuss the reasons for Grab's successful diffusion in Southeast Asia and if Grab's diffusion drivers align with the integrated innovation model. We use a systematic literature analysis to derive Grab's diffusion factors and compare them to the integrated diffusion factors. The analysis revealed that Grab's main diffusion factors largely aligned with existing integrated diffusion factors, including enhanced benefits from technology use, preference for innovation, and strategic responses to economic and social environments by ride-sharing platform companies. We found key factors in Grab's diffusion to be local market adaptability and cooperation with local governments. This suggests an expansion of existing factors.
