Impact on Organizational Silence, Team Cohesion, and Job Stress of Dental Hygienists’ on Workplace Bullying

Objectives: The aim of the study was to examines the workplace bullying among organizational silence, team cohesion and job stress, in dental hygienists. Methods: Data were collected through a self-reported questionnaire from August 1 to August 30, 2024. The subjects consisted of 173 dental hygienists who were selected using a convenience sampling method. Results: Workplace bullying showed a positive correlation with organizational silence(r=0.345, p<.01) and a negative correlation with team cohesion(r=-0.350, p<.01) and job stress(r=-0.217, p<.01). Factors significantly affecting workplace bullying included age, organizational silence, and team cohesion, with an explanatory power of 26.5%. Conclusions: Therefore, as a strategy to address workplace bullying among dental hygienists, it is necessary to develop and implement programs that provide practical training, foster a relationship-oriented organizational culture, and enhance effective communication.
