The Impact of Executive Support on Corporate Performance Mediated by IT Resource Coordination Capability and Innovation Capability

본 연구는 경영진 지원이 IT 자원 조율 역량과 혁신 역량을 매개로 기업 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 이러한 관계에서 기업 규모의 조절효과를 검증하였다. 연구목적 달성을 위해 국내 기업 종사자 400명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, SmartPLS 4.0을 활용하여 PLS-SEM 분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 경영진 지원은 IT 자원 조율 역량(β=0.896, p<0.01)과 혁신 역량(β=0.796, p<0.01)에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, IT 자원 조율 역량(β=0.181, p<0.01)과 혁신 역량(β=0.524, p<0.01)은 기업 성과에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 기업 규모의 조절효과 분석 결과, 경영진 지원이 IT 자원 조율 역량과 혁신 역량에 미치는 영향은 중소기업에서 더 강하게 나타났으나, 이들 역량이 기업 성과에 미치는 영향은 기업 규모에 따른 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 경영진 지원, IT 자원 조율 역량, 혁신 역량, 기업 성과 간의 구조적 관계를 실증적으로 검증하고, 기업 규모에 따른 차별적 효과를 규명함으로써 이론적･실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study examines the impact of executive support on corporate performance mediated by IT resource coordination capability and innovation capability, and investigates the moderating effect of firm size on these relationships. Data were collected from 400 employees of Korean companies and analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings show that executive support has significant positive effects on IT resource coordination capability (β=0.896, p<0.01) and innovation capability (β=0.796, p<0.01). Both IT resource coordination capability (β=0.181, p<0.01) and innovation capability (β=0.524, p<0.01) significantly influence corporate performance. The moderating effect analysis reveals that the impact of executive support on both capabilities is stronger in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) than in large companies, while the effects of these capabilities on corporate performance show no significant differences across firm sizes. This study contributes to both theory and practice by empirically validating the structural relationships between executive support, IT resource coordination capability, innovation capability, and corporate performance, while identifying differential effects according to firm size.
