대만과 한국의 가상자산 규제 현황과 도전 과제

This study aims to analyze the global development of virtual assets and their regulatory frameworks, with a particular focus on comparing and evaluating the regulatory policies of South Korea and Taiwan. As an innovative financial instrument, virtual assets are transforming traditional financial transaction structures while simultaneously posing new regulatory and legal challenges. In response, countries worldwide are striving to establish appropriate regulatory frameworks to foster the healthy development of the market and mitigate potential risks. South Korea has prioritized consumer protection and the prevention of illicit financial activities, actively developing and implementing a comprehensive regulatory framework that encompasses virtual asset exchanges, traders, and other market participants. In contrast, Taiwan remains in the process of exploring suitable regulatory approaches to address the rapid evolution and dynamic nature of the virtual asset market. This study examines the legal and policy frameworks of South Korea and Taiwan, analyzes the current state of their virtual asset markets, and identifies the key challenges both countries face. Furthermore, by highlighting existing regulatory gaps and proposing improvements, this study seeks to provide valuable policy insights for the establishment of more effective regulatory measures in the virtual asset sector.
