센텔라아시아티카 추출물과 이데베논 성분의 피부 개선 효과: 인체적용시험 연구

As the aging population grows, research on anti-aging and functional cosmetic ingredients has become increasingly active. This study aimed to explore the efficacy of Centella asiaticaextract, widely used in food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics for its exceptional wound-healing properties, and idebenone, known for its moisturizing and collagen-boosting effects that help reduce fine wrinkles. A human trial was conducted with 24 participants, divided into an experimental group (n=12) and a control group (n=12). The experimental group applied three skincare products containing 0.1% Centella asiatica extract and 2% liposomal idebenone twice daily for six weeks, while the control group used similar products without these active ingredients. The results revealed no significant skin changes in the control group, whereas the experimental group showed reductions in pore size, crow’s feet wrinkles, overall facial wrinkles, pigmentation, and redness. However, no notable improvements were observed in expression wrinkles, skin roughness, or moisture levels. These findings suggest that the combination of Centella asiaticaextract and idebenone effectively improves signs of aging, such as enlarged pores, wrinkles, and pigmentation, while also helping to reduce skin redness. Given these benefits, this combination shows potential as a valuable cosmetic ingredient for aging and problematic skin, as well as for individuals with sensitive skin prone to redness.
