성상훈(경기대학교); 정윤덕(국민대학교)

23권 2호, 41~57쪽

초록

This study aims to derive practical and policy-relevant strategies to promote Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation in Korean sports enterprises. Recognizing the increasing demand for sustainable and ethical management in the sports industry, the study adopts the Delphi method to collect and refine expert opinions on ESG strategy formulation. A panel of 20 domestic experts with at least five years of experience in ESG research or practice participated in three rounds of Delphi surveys. Through this process, a total of 36 ESG strategy elements were identified and categorized into three dimensions: environment, social, and governance. The findings reveal a growing consensus that ESG should serve as a core pillar of sports industry policy, rather than as an optional or supplementary agenda. In the environmental dimension, experts emphasized the urgency of resource recycling, carbon emission reduction, and energy efficiency. In the social dimension, they highlighted the role of sports in fostering inclusion, community engagement, and equitable access. In the governance domain, transparency, ethical leadership, and stakeholder communication were prioritized. The study provides practical and actionable ESG strategies that can be integrated into both enterprise-level initiatives and national sports policy frameworks. This study contributes to the field by offering a structured strategy model based on expert consensus and supports the development of policy tools for ESG advancement.
