고려대학교 기초법학의 전통 —법철학을 중심으로 하여—

This article deals with the tradition of Korea University’s basic law studies that has developed until now. To this end, this article uses the following methods. First, it limits the discussion to the philosophy of law among the basic law studies. Next, in the perspective of time, it includes the philosophy of law of Boseong College, the predecessor of Korea University, in the discussion. Furthermore, in terms of content, it selects scholars who have made important contributions to establishing the tradition of Korea University’s basic law studies. In this context, this article develops the discussion in the following order. As a starting point, it examines the philosophy of law of Tomoo Otaka, who was a professor of philosophy of law at Keijo Imperial University (II). Next, this article examines the philosophy of law at Boseong College (III). And then, it deals with the beginning of Korea University’s philosophy of law (IV). Furthermore, this article discusses the beginning of Korea University’s tradition of natural law theory (V). Finally, the author examines the completion of Korea University’s tradition of philosophy of law (VI). Based on these discussions, this article handles the academic efforts and achievements of the teachers who created the tradition of Korea University’s philosophy of law. Through this, this article confirms how great those teachers were and how much their shadows remain and influence us.
