· 연구 주제: 본 연구는 생활인구 정책과 ESG 경영의 융합을 통한 지역사회 상생 및 기업 혁신 방안을 탐색한다. · 연구 배경: 지방소멸 위기가 심화되는 가운데 기존 정주인구 중심 정책의 한계를 보완하기 위해 ‘생활인구’ 개념이 대두되고 있다. 동시에 ESG(Environmental, Social, Governance) 경영이 기업의 지속가능한 가치 창출 전략으로 주목받고 있으나 이 두 개념의 융합 가능성에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. · 선행연구와의 차이점: 기존 연구가 생활인구 정책과 ESG 경영을 개별적으로 다루었다면 본 연구는 두 개념의 융합을 통한 지역사회-기업 간 상생 모델의 가능성을 실증적으로 분석하여 새로운 이론적·정책적 접근을 제시한다. · 연구방법: 경상북도 22개 시·군의 소상공인, 청년창업가, 지역민, 행정 관계자 등 22명을 대상으로 질적 연구 방법을 적용하여 심층 인터뷰와 현장 관찰을 실시하였다. · 연구결과: 첫째, 생활인구 정책과 ESG 경영의 결합은 청년창업 펀딩, 소상공인 판로 지원, 친환경 체험 관광 등의 영역에서 시너지를 창출할 수 있다. 둘째, 이벤트성 사업과 후속 지원 부재, 현장 체감도 부족이 주요 한계로 나타났다. 셋째, 협력 거버넌스 체계 구축과 장기 펀딩 및 멘토링이 효과적인 지역 활성화 전략으로 도출되었다. · 공헌점 및 기대효과: 본 연구는 생활인구 정책과 ESG 경영의 융합 가능성을 구체적 사례를 통해 규명함으로써 지방소멸 위기 대응과 지속가능한 지역경제 구축에 실천적 함의를 제공한다. 특히 지역 현장의 목소리를 바탕으로 기업-지역 연계 모델을 제시하여 향후 정책 및 경영 전략 수립에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

· Research topics: Exploring convergence possibilities between living population policies and ESG management for regional revitalization. · Research background: As regional extinction crises intensify, living population concept offers an alternative to residence-based approaches, while ESG emerges as a corporate sustainability strategy; their integration remains understudied. · Differences from prior research: While previous studies examined these concepts separately, this research analyzes their synergistic potential through field data, offering a novel framework. · Research method: Qualitative research featuring interviews with 22 diverse stakeholders across Gyeongsangbuk-do's cities and counties. · Research results: Synergies emerged in youth funding, small business support, and eco-tourism initiatives. However, short-term programs, insufficient follow-up and limited impact emerged as key limitations. · Contribution points and expected effects: The study proposes a practical model linking ESG with living population strategies to support regional development and corporate innovation through community partnerships.
